Zusammenfassung
Die Monografien des HMPC, der ESCOP, der WHO und auch früher der Kommission E sind
ein Beleg für die Absicherung von Wirksamkeit und Unbedenklichkeit pflanzlicher Zubereitungen
und Arzneimittel. Obwohl ihre regulatorische Bedeutung unterschiedlich ist, repräsentieren
alle hier beschriebenen Monografien basierend auf der Bewertung durch ein Expertengremium
einen zum Zeitpunkt der Publikation aktuellen Erkenntnisstand für die jeweiligen
pflanzlichen Zubereitungen. Sie tragen so zur Festigung des Status pflanzlicher Arzneimittel
auch im Hinblick auf die Abgrenzung zu anderen Produktgruppen im europäischen Markt
bei.
Summary
Monographs on Efficacy and Safety and Regulatory Integration
Monographs prepared by HMPC, ESCOP, WHO and formerly by Commission E are a proof of
validation of efficacy and safety of herbal preparations and herbal medicinal products.
Despite their different regulatory relevance, all these monographs represent the current
status of scientific knowledge for the respective herbal preparations at the time
of publication, based on the evaluation of an expert group. Thus, they contribute
to strengthening the status of herbal medicinal products, also with regard to the
borderline to other groups of products, in the European market.
